Unlimitedgb.com – A Scam to Avoid!!!

The first time I heard of unlimitedgb.com was when I thought someone commented about justhost.  I looked at the site, and made the comment this host may be worse then justhost based on a cost that was far less then what was already dirt cheap with justhost.  I also doubt that unlike Justhost a Endurance International Group site, that this blog spammer was supplementing their income by advertising on their customer control panel.  Meaning that this spammer was increasingly likely to shut down anyone that used too many or too few resources.  Unlimitedgb.com is the first hosting scam that I will write a post up for this year.

Before I go further into my rant, I am going to be pretty clear about going with a company that spams.  Spamming is illegal, and if they are willing to spam what other illegal activities are they willing to engage in?  For that matter will they even offer the service that you thought you were getting from them?  Because this host choose to spam my blog to try and get customers I have to declare them a scam. You should avoid this host at all costs.  Yes they may be far cheaper then the more commonly know cheap hosts, but can you really afford to give access to your money to someone that can not bring customers in under valid forms of commercialism?  Unlimitedgb.com should be avoided at all costs.

Below is just a small sample of what has been coming in.  For some reason its not been caught by the spam filters.  Making me wonder if I should try and tighten down the the ability for someone to make a comment.  But the truth of the matter is I will not, because 99.9% of the attempts do not go through they add to my Alexa score.  I was a little surprised to find this out.  Even though I gain by their attempts, I am not willing to let them use my blog to give them a leg up on getting people to sign up for their service.  This will be the only mention they get from my site unless I find more dirt as to why no one should choose this despicable company.

At this point I don’t think any of the comments are real.  The first comment was proable put by someone within the company, but the other comments look like a bot.  Though none of them match, so perhaps even these comments were placed by someone within Interweb iTech.  All for the purpose increasing this host’s search engine ranking.  The weird thing is they entered hosting-reviews-exposed.com in as their site on their comments.  No references to a individuals website.

The lights at unlimitedgb.com are on, but nobody is home

I wanted to give these guys a piece of my mind.   When I saw the below graphic I thought great I can chat with one of them.

Well I was wrong, regardless of there being a “LIVE RESPONSE Online” I get this:

There live response does not mean they are “Ready to Assist You…”.  It means you can click on that to send them a message.  If you want to know who owns this company I have copied the below from the whois for their domain.

The Service Really Sucks they dont any co-ordination between their server team….very very worst service when you call to customer care..they don’t know ABC they are customer support executives….from my past 8yrs of exp in hosting and development i hve never seen dis kind of service..or a hosting company..plz plz plz..plz..dont take any service from unlimitedGB.dont look at the price they provide..plz..avoid them….

I tried asking for a refund and since then they had bounce me to several department and i don’t even think they gonna honor it.My money is as good as gone.Support response is fast however resolution is near zero.Their cloud hosting is a fraud as its never hosted on amazon cloud. It is hosted on Liquidweb vps.

  8. i’m not a coward to hide my ass from you guys http://www.waterlemon.co.in , I’m very happy with UnlimitedGB. I think you are associated with some other stupid Hosting company and that is the reason you are saying i’m a goon of UnlimitedGB.

    Always understand Big company like Godaddy.com still have unsatisfied customers and you can find over 16,000+ Bad reviews about Godaddy, and over 9,000+ Bad reviews about HostGator and So on. Always keep in mind that in every business out of 100 there will be 2 Unsatisfied/cranky customers.

    I have hosted my site with UnlimitedGB over 1.5 years and i know that they have over 5,000+ domains hosted and if you search the web you will hardly find not more than 20Bad reviewes about this company, Do you think the balance 4,980+ domains are nuts????

    First off you did not use the same email, you came under a gmail account, you did not mention a website. But that you were a customer. Frankly I doubt your a customer and that you have some connection to this host beyond being a customer. As it seems a bit bizarre for a customer to come to the rescue of a company, when the company itself should address the points I have broung up in my post. As for me (no there is no one else here on this blog), working for some stupid hosting company, the answer to that is no, read a few posts on this blog and you will find there is no recommended host. Did you read the domain name for this site, it will give you an idea to what this site is about.

    In regards to your domain hosted with them for over 1.5 years. Your dns records says it was updated July 07, 2010. I imagine a further review of your dns history will not back your claim up. Not to mention Alexa.com shows that Unlimitedgb.com have been around for just little over 1.5 years.

    In regards to them hosting 4,980 domains, big deal. I have had 8 customers with that many domains. I know tons of people that are domain horders that also buy cheap hosting. As for 20 negative reviews thats a lot for a company that has less then 5000 domains. Also just by the word sucks you can find more then 20, thats not taking into consideration other words that = sucks. There are three complaints just on this blog.

    Unlimitedgb.com needs to address their spamming, their lack of a live chat even though the say the live chat is online, and the many other flaws that I have not addressed. They should not be sending their trolls to my blog to try and clean up their mess.

  10. i must also add this..those satisfied customer videos on youtube they have, looks like it’s bought from Fiverr.com.Can you pls check and confirm that.It looks so fake.I still haven’t got my money.That Sanson fella, apparently he is their “senior it officer” and any problems be directed to him..they thing is you have to wait a certain time like 3pm the next day to get him.Here’s one of my experience that i might add to share , my cpanel puts my http download limit at 2mb which is so 2003 i asked to change that to a higher limit(at least 10mb would be acceptable since most companies are now letting at 200mb)and what i get in response?..”sir you have to wait for mr sanson..or you can call him at this number…….” im from another freaking country i don’t wanna call an international line for something as simple as that.

    I had switch to a different host last month and till now still waiting on my refund of 3 months in advance.3 months hosting plus 1 year of dedicated IP money gone.I wished i had come here earlier.

UnlimitedGB.com provides excellent hosting. i have hosted with them on for 1 year, using it for many things (under different subdomains) and have never had any problems, least of all with the speed of bandwidth allowances. I used their special offer coupon code and got a big discount on my first bill. I recommend UnlimitedGB to anyone for a reliable web hosting solution.

However my first host was UnlimitedGB as I was looking for a host who had debit card payment option.I was a little skeptical about the low price UnlimitedGB had for their plans. I also got some free monitoring sites to monitor the up-time and they always reported 100% up-time.

    You may be the most honest form of a review yet. If those sites were yours. But there an “associates”. If they are happy they can speak for themselves. A review from someone that does not use them is pointless.

    This host is on my site because they spammed my blog. The also posted fake reviews, 2 from the same ip, not very smart.

    As for their hours, I could care less when they have a chat program that says “Live Response Online”. Its one point where they will lose huge points when I do a surface review of their site again.

    Keep the fake reviews coming, I enjoy debunking them.

    I don’t have any experience with hosts in your country, all of my experience is has been in the U.S.A. Though if you find a host in your country that works for you I would love to hear who they are. I would defiantly recommend avoiding this one as there are a lot of complaints. Not to mention a lot of fake positive reviews, which they tried to do on my site.

    But for a few pointers while you find a host.:

    1. Read the terms of service.
    2. Don’t sign up for service with a company that does not offer a 30 day guarantee.
    3. If you have a serious site, avoid so called unlimited plans.
    4. Don’t sign up for more then monthly terms, change your plan over if after 30 days you are satisfied with the service.
    5. Avoid free domains, purchase your domain from a third party not connected to your host. If you don’t like your host that free domain may cost more then a third party to keep,
    6. Its ok to start with the cheapest package.
    7. Contact them if its by chat, email, ticket system if possible, or by phone. Its not a good sign if like this host they say the chat operator is online, but you get sent to a page that takes a message.

  21. PHP 5.3.6 definitely incompatible with my script. Actually I already test this script on several servers including PHP5.2.x and PHP5.3.x but it doesn’t work till I found UnlimitedGb.com and and give a try with one shared hosting a/c and luckily it’s WORK!

    At this time there is no host that I recommend. But I can tell you that there are many hosts out there that offer dedicated IPs. I recommend contacting any host you might be interested in and asking them. Which is a great way to see if any one is home and how fast they may respond to you.

  28. These guys are scammers! Enough said.
    I have had websites previously (personal websites to host my cv/publish my academic work) and have never come across such shoddy service.

    I paid them for linux hosting + domain name, and even nearly 24 hours later, I still didn’t have my login details. In desperation, I finally had to call them only to be told repeatedly that the login details would get sent in ‘an hour’. And then later, apparently I was supposed to wait for some guy to finish his lunch. No thank you!
    I have initiated a chargeback on my credit card, so these scumbags wont get to keep any of my money.

  29. i have taken one re seller pack with then slowly i felt something wrong so i moved my all site to other server but 5 site which i can not move due to non domain panel availability stuck with then and site are down since last 3 days my kobatirth.org was down for 10 days i loose customer n reputation they are simple cheater never trust on them u can call me if u need my number to learn detail of cheating

  30. They are certainly cheaters. They say they give 99.9% uptime and my site did not get even 90% up time. Their servers are also slow and lot of pages get Internal Server Errors. So don’t waste your precious money on this scamsters.

  31. I am a domain reseller of UnlimitedGB. It is the worst domain registration service I have ever experienced. 1. They took at least 2 days to fund my account with the amount I transferred. So, you can not register or renew your domains till then.
    2. There support, billing staff is purely unprofessional. Very rude, very disturbing customer care.
    3. While chatting online, they usually reply you after a delay of 5 minutes (each single query). So if you have that much of free time you can enjoy chatting with them.
    4. Whenever you register a new domain. 100 out of 100 times, the order will lock in processing, although you have enough money in your account to proceed the order. But again you have to contact their lazy customer care or support staff and they would assure you that the domain would be register within next 24 hours. All other ordinary companies take only seconds to register your domains.

    I HAVE READ SEVERAL POOR REVIEWS ABOUT THEIR HOSTING SERVICES ALSO. THANKFULLY, i HAVE NOT PURCHASED THEIR HOSTING AND WILL NEVER THINK OF IT. I WILL MOVE ALL MY DOMAINS FROM THEM AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

    SO, I ALSO STRONGLY RECOMMEND TO GET AWAY FROM UNLIMITEDGB.COM. THEY ARE A BLACK SPOT IN THE HOSTING AND DOMAIN INDUSTRY.

  36. My experience with unlimitedgb.com was terrible. Their technical assistance is really too poor and it’s pathetic that their support team doesn’t know the meaning of name servers. Their poor service would literally move down your business website. It would be clever enough to move your hosting to other reliable service providers.

  37. There is no middle class in hosting anymore. That does not mean there aren’t reliable hosts for $5 a month, but you have to realize it is all a numbers game. $5 a month does not really buy much anywhere in life so why expect web hosting to be different? I used to run a hosting business and when I’d get off the phone after talking to some irate customer for 30 minutes I’d think “why am I in this business at all?”. Any self respecting host provider will be charging you $50+ per month. Anything less is just an automated system with support staff who are on the verge of quitting every day.

  38. I had hosted a static site in Unlimitedgb.com. It was fine in loading and search on Google. But I couldn’t send mail to any govt sector. Always it was reported as spam mail and return back to us. Before that we had in squarebrothers.com. There was no problem with mail, but there down time is more than 10%. Most of the time they replied we are doing some maintenance activity. Please suggest a good hosting solution.

  39. A week ago I tried to register at UnlimitedGB.com for web hosting. After selecting my plan they redirected me to 2co. I made payment there but the 2co site gave me some error. So I tried paying again at 2co, again got the same error.

    After checking my transaction details I found that I have been charged 2 times for UnlimitedGB.com.
    So I tried contacting them with their [so called] 24/7 online support. I did not get a reply till four and half hours. After that I tried once again and told about the situation. He told me that contact 2co. But I told that I have been charged with your name so I’ll contact with you only. So he told that billing department will open at 10AM contact then. I told him to register a complain and asked him to contact me when billing department opens.

    In the meantime I contacted on all of their phone numbers, emails, and contact form on website.

    After 10AM, I waited till 6PM. Since I didn’t get any phone call, I called them, and told the whole history again.
    They were telling that we didn’t get money. So I sent them the screenshots of transaction from my bank account.

    After checking those screenshots, they told me that they’ll contact me later. Since that call, it’s been 3 days. I call them everyday 15-20 times in morning as well as in the evening, but they don’t pick up my call nor they respond to my emails.

    So I think I have been deceived as of now.

    One more thing to notice, their payment option clearly states that they accept debit card payment, but after telling my incident they told, they don’t accept Debit card. Only after telling about this that their website states about accepting debit card, they told me that they’ll contact later.

    This is terrible and very bad experience. I don’t know what to do now 🙁

    They assured guaranteed uptime, later on my website had faced down time for a long duration and also internal server errors.
    I had fed up with their hosting service and had move to the other service provider. It would be better to stay away from this terrible hosting provider..

    So you do not choose UNLIMITEDGB’s hosting services. It is very terrible.

I have been with Unlimitedgb.com for 2 months now and I have started reading the review about this computer and I think people who are writing negitive stuff for UnlimitedGB is actually right and they simply ignore calls, do not reply back soon when customer need it, server down many times, god know what kind of emplyee or owner who is running the useless company who dont take care of customers at all.. I will not recomend any one to choose them and will cancel my serice asap.. such a losers..

  45. I am using unlimitedgb from last 3 year, I have not found any problem yet. Again , I’m a professional PHP/MySQL developer. I worked on most International and national level company. I advised all of them to have host in unlimited gb . they have not got any complain yet. Stop writing unnecessary article, better then try to make your own company in 1st stage with your own creative ideas, shame on you…

    Then there is the fact your site does not even appear to be on their servers. You do realize I look at things like your IP and such right?

    Cough up some details that can actually back your claim.

    As for this article being unnecessary, your not paying attention. At first they spammed comments on my blog (which they admit to), then they spammed comments on a post I made about them, then last but not least bribed me to take them off. Never mind the stupidity of creating a fake review on the very site that exposes the very reviews for this genre this company is in. But please do prattle on some more, these fake positive support comments only help my site.

    I’ve tried Big Rock and its kinda in the stone age… So i refunded though I’ve got a domain name simply hanging around. My prob is i aint got any paypal or credit card account. I can pay only via debit. As far as I’ve searched US hosting sites demand credit card. So could You, granted your expertise in the area, plz recommend me any hosting sites which accept debit cards as an option of payment…

    I really can’t say I know of any hosts off the top of my head that take debit. You may want to contact your bank and ask them if they offer debit card with the Visa or Master card logo on it. As Banks generally make money off of the transactions when you use your card as credit.

    Am I correct on reading your IP address as from India? If so you should be able to apply for a PayPal account. Granted I can understand not wanting to deal with PayPal as I am not fan myself. But sometimes you have to bite the bullet so to speak to get things moving.

    I have no idea why someone that has nothing to do with Unlimitedgb, nor an enemy of mine (I have those?) would make a comment.

    With that said, the reason I confront a lot of the commentors is well besides for the fact this is my blog, the host in question has sent people to it to create fake feed back. Which they have done at other areas. The owner even went so far as to bribe me to remove my content. Then went back to creating more fake feed back. Just do a search in the google search box for “unlimitedgb” and you will find that I have done 3 posts on this host.

    As for future comments from you, rather if you are employeed by unlimitedgb or not, my recommendation is if you don’t want to keep making this post more relevant to search engines you will not make any future comments. However if you truly are not with unlimitedgb and care not about search engine results feel free to comment. As clearly only you determines rather or not you are pulled back in. Free choice got to love it.
